Abstract

The article discusses current topical issues of the effectiveness of the Constitution and the factors affecting its stability and variability. The author highlights and reveals the general factors affecting the stability of the Constitution of the Russian Federation: an indefinite validity period of the Constitution of the Russian Federation; opinion of public authorities on the need for stability of the Constitution of the Russian Federation; «Rigid» procedure for amending and revising the Constitution of the Russian Federation; «Flexibility» of the Constitution of the Russian Federation; activities of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation; legitimacy and democratic character of the Constitution of the Russian Federation; the level of legal awareness and legal culture of the citizens; the level of development of national legal science; trends in development of constitutional lawmaking of foreign countries. The author also considers the efficiency of the Russian Constitution as an integral strategic factor.
